First Day was started with lots of culture. We went to the Akta Lakota Museum and Cultural Center.
Next we listened to Dana Boraas, the Program Director of Lutheran Social Services of SD. We learned about the services LSS provide to our students and their families when they enter our country. This service is incredible.

The Black Pipe drum group performed at the Arrowwood Resort in Chamberlain this evening, where they sang for the South Dakota School Nurses Association. They did an awesome job! Thank you to Kendra for inviting us!
